2024 Chevy Equinox EV Makes Official Debut as Affordable, Uncompromising, and Suitably Long-Range

The GM Authority staff once again gave us a very important story on their blog this week as they let us know about the coming-soon 2024 Chevy Equinox EV. Our distinguished CEO Mary Barra assisted in its star-studded debut on CBS Mornings today after the automaker had originally teased the compact crossover earlier this year. Things have changed very rapidly over the past few years, and drivers here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis are excited to get a fully-blown all-electric model to take for awesome test drives!
The 2024 Chevy Equinox EV will come standard deriving power from a single Ultium Drive electric motor that powers the front wheels and doles out 210 horsepower and 242 lb-ft of torque. An optional ‘eAWD’ system will also be offered, providing a formidable jump up with 290 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque. Launch trim levels will include the anticipated 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT, while the slightly more aggressive 2RS and 3RS trim levels will be available as well.
We listened intently to customers telling us what they deem most valuable when it comes to models arriving soon, and standard equipment on entry-level trims came in high on the list. The 1LT includes an 11-inch diagonal infotainment screen, and 11 is driver information display,19-inch wheels, and manually adjusted front seats. There is also the choice of upgrading to a 17.7-inch infotainment screen, available on the 2LT and included as standard equipment on the 3LT and two RS trims.
Chevy has always offered so many awesome ways to make things look just the way you want, and 20 and 21-inch wheels, a front LED light bar for 2LT and up models, and a two-tone white or black roof are a few other options to add some unique flair to the mix. In front-wheel drive modes, the standard battery is rated at 250 miles, with an available long-range model being rated at 300 miles. Safety on the road is a quality that enables us to begin every journey with a customer’s new vehicle by offering the ultimate peace of mind and incorporating amazing technology within every mile driven.
Included as Safety Assist features are Automatic Emergency Braking, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and IntelliBeam Automatic High Beams. Other technologies higher up the tech ladder to choose from are Adaptive Cruise Control and HD Surround Vision, Head-Up Display, and a Rear Camera Mirror. Full-on storming the scene as an “EV for everyone”, the 2024 Equinox EV will not just put a “stop to the stops” at the gas station for good, it will usher in a new era of confidence and a newfound sense of freedom.Confident, capable, and proof that electric does not have to feel unattainable and exclusive, the Equinox also makes use of cutting-edge technology such as the One Pedal Driving and Regen on Demand, which aid in converting the vehicle’s kinetic energy into stored battery energy to help you obtain the absolute most from every second of the trip.
